Polite Society Industries Launches Its First Line of Silencers
Rimfire through .36 caliber, built as one piece, and priced for the market that now exists in 2026.
Polite Society Industries is open, and the first line is here: six silencers across four families, covering everything from a .22 plinker to a .30-caliber rifle — including one that changes calibers with an endcap.
We started the company in the same year the federal transfer tax went to zero. That timing wasn’t an accident. For ninety years the barrier to owning a silencer was $200 and the better part of a year of waiting, and that barrier shaped the whole category — what got built, who bought it, and what it cost. The barrier is gone. What’s left is a background check, a Form 4 you sign at the counter, and a wait now measured in days.
That changes what a silencer company should be building.
What We’re Launching
TEMPERANCE .22 — a 3.00 oz. rimfire silencer for the round most of us learned on, and the one that still gets shot the most. It reaches past the rimfire bench, too: 5.7×28 and bolt-action .223 are both on the menu. See the rest of the rimfire line.
FORTITUDE 5.56 Ti and FORTITUDE 5.56 HD — a dedicated 5.56 silencer for an AR, in Grade-5 titanium at 6.40 oz. or heavy-duty Inconel 625 for barrels that never get to cool.
VERDICT 7.62 Ti and VERDICT 7.62 HD — a .30-caliber bore covering .308, 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 BLK and .300 Win Mag, in the same two builds. Both live on the centerfire page.
HUCKLEBERRY — one silencer, interchangeable endcaps, and a bore that follows you across the safe. The multi-caliber page explains where it fits.

Built As One Piece
Every Polite Society silencer is formed by laser powder bed fusion — a laser fusing aerospace-grade metal powder one micro-layer at a time — rather than machined from bar stock and assembled. No tube. No stack of baffles. No welds, and no seam for heat and pressure to find.
“We designed our silencers around what laser powder bed fusion makes possible,” said Jon Scott, president of Polite Society Industries. “You can form geometry inside a silencer that nobody would have considered ten years ago and put material only where the part actually needs it. What comes out is light, durable in the places that take the abuse, and does its job. Weight, strength, and suppression used to be a trade — you gave up one to get another — but not anymore.”
That geometry is Tripass Core Technology™: three separate paths through the core instead of one, so gas travels farther than it looks like there’s room for. The full explanation is on how we build them.
The Guarantee
If it breaks, we fix it. If we can’t fix it, we replace it. If we can’t replace it, you get your money back. You email or call, and we respond.
It covers the person who bought the silencer new, for as long as they own it. Read The Guarantee in full.
“Until this year, you waited the better part of a year for a silencer, and if something went wrong, making it right could mean starting the federal paperwork over and waiting all over again for something you had already paid for,” Scott said. “That wait is largely now over. We wrote our warranty to be used when needed.”
On What They Cost
“A silencer costs less to build today than it did ten years ago, and that is true across this industry,” Scott said. “But the prices people are used to were set when a silencer took the better part of a year and two hundred dollars in tax to get. Scarcity like that holds a price up on its own. That scarcity is gone. It seemed more polite to pass that along than to keep pricing for a market that no longer exists.”
