RIMFIRE SILENCERS

Where Most People Start.

Rimfire is the friendliest shooting there is — cheap to feed, easy on the shoulder, and quieter suppressed than just about anything else you'll put a trigger on. It's also the one place a silencer threads straight to the muzzle and simply stays there. No mount, no adapter, nothing between the two — which is a set of trade-offs a centerfire rifle doesn't get to make. The .22 is the round most of us learned on, and still the one that gets shot the most. Suppressed, it turns into something else: standard-velocity .22 stays below the speed of sound, so there's no sonic crack to contend with, which makes it the best place there is to bring someone new.

Two ways to go from here. Temperance is our dedicated rimfire silencer — the smallest, lightest thing we make, and the one to pick if the .22 is its own pursuit. Huckleberry wears a .22 endcap when you want it to, then swaps to .30 or 9mm for everything else you shoot — the one to pick if you'd rather not buy twice.

TEMPERANCE .22 rimfire suppressor in Grade-5 titanium

TEMPERANCE .22

Four inches, three ounces, titanium; the smallest, lightest thing we make. It threads straight onto a 1/2×28 muzzle with no adapter, and reaches well past the rimfire bench: 5.7×28 and bolt-action .223 are both on the menu. Pick this one if the .22 is its own pursuit.

HUCKLEBERRY

Fit the .22 endcap and Huckleberry becomes a rimfire silencer — the same cheap, low-recoil shooting Temperance is built for, on a body that doesn't stop there. When the .22 goes back in the safe, a ¾″ wrench swaps the endcap and the same silencer moves to a .30-caliber rifle or a 9mm carbine. Pick this one if rimfire is where you're starting rather than where you're staying.

Not Sure Which One?

If the .22 is its own thing — a rifle that lives by the back door, an afternoon with someone learning — take Temperance. It's smaller and lighter than anything else we make, and it costs the least. If the .22 is one of several things you shoot, Huckleberry covers it and everything else besides. Either way, rimfire is a good place to start. The difference between them is what comes off. The Huckleberry earns its range from an endcap that threads off and changes the bore aperture, so one silencer follows you from a .22 to a deer rifle. The Temperance gives that up and gets four inches and three ounces in return — which, on a rimfire you leave mounted, is the better trade more often than people expect.
