If it breaks, we fix it. If we can’t fix it, we replace it. If we can’t replace it, you get your money back.
No fine print — you email or call us, and we respond.
That’s the whole promise. It stays with the silencer for as long as the silencer exists, it doesn’t require a registration card or a receipt hunt, and there’s no clock on it.
What it covers
Everything we’re responsible for: the materials, the build, and the way it holds up in use. Baffle erosion, cracking, thread damage, finish failure, a mount that stops holding zero. If a Polite Society silencer stops doing its job and we built it that way, it’s ours to make right.
We’d rather repair than replace — a silencer you already have is a silencer you don’t have to wait on. If it can’t be repaired, we replace it. And in the rare case we can’t replace it either, we refund what you paid.
Who it covers
The guarantee follows the silencer, not the buyer. If you bought it used, lawfully transferred, it’s still covered. You don’t need to be the original purchaser and you don’t need the original paperwork from the sale.
What it doesn’t cover
A short list, and we’ll be straight about it:
- A baffle strike. If a bullet hits the inside of the silencer, that’s an alignment or ammunition problem upstream of us. Call anyway — we will examine it and tell you what we find, and we’ll quote a repair rather than walk away.
- Modification. Anyone opening, machining, re-threading, or refinishing the silencer.
- Neglect. Corrosion from being stored wet or left uncleaned over a long period.
- Cosmetic wear. Heat marks a silencer. Discoloration, and eventual dulling or thinning of the Cerakote on a heavy-duty model, is normal service wear rather than a defect. If the finish is failing in a way that looks wrong to you, call us — we’d rather look at it than guess.
- Loss or theft. We can’t replace a registered item that’s gone. Report it to ATF and to law enforcement.
How to make a claim

We’ll work out whether it’s a repair, a replacement, or a refund before anything ships, so you’re not guessing. Do not ship a silencer to us before contacting us and receiving return authorization.
What you’ll need: the silencer, a copy of your approved ATF Form 4, and photo identification.
A note on paperwork
A silencer is a registered NFA item. Returning one for service or receiving a replacement follows federal procedure.
Do not ship a silencer until you have received return authorization from us. Include a complete, legible copy of your approved ATF Form 4 — or Form 5 if applicable — with the silencer.
If we replace the silencer, the replacement will have a new serial number and must be transferred to a dealer of your choosing on a new ATF Form 4. Since January 1, 2026 the $200 federal transfer tax no longer applies to suppressors.
If a silencer cannot be repaired, it will be destroyed in accordance with ATF guidelines. You will receive written confirmation of destruction and instructions for the replacement transfer.
Limited Warranty Terms
This is a Limited Warranty.
Who is covered. This warranty runs with the product, not with the buyer. It extends to the original purchaser and to any subsequent lawful owner of the silencer.
What is covered. Polite Society Industries, LLC warrants each silencer it manufactures against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
How long it lasts. For the lifetime of the product.
What we will do. If a covered defect appears, we will repair the silencer at no charge for parts or labor. If repair is not practicable, we will replace it. If replacement is not practicable, we will refund the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of the product in effect at the time of purchase. Repair, replacement, or refund is your exclusive remedy under this warranty.
Shipping. You are responsible for shipping the product to us. We pay return shipping within the United States.
What is not covered. The exclusions stated under “What it doesn’t cover” above, and any product that has been modified, misused, neglected, or damaged by a baffle strike, and any silencer that has been lost or stolen. Cosmetic wear, including finish discoloration from heat, is not a defect.

Limitation on implied warranties. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY.
Exclusion of consequential damages. POLITE SOCIETY INDUSTRIES, LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT.
State law. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
A note on federal law. A silencer is a firearm registered under the National Firearms Act. Repair, replacement, and transfer are subject to federal procedure and to the availability of a licensed dealer to receive a replacement. This warranty does not alter those requirements.
