If it breaks, we fix it. If we can’t fix it, we replace it. If we can’t replace it, you get your money back.
That’s our promise on any covered defect in materials or workmanship, for the life of the silencer. What’s covered, and the short list that isn’t, is below.
You email or call us, and we respond.
That promise is yours for as long as you own the silencer. It doesn’t require a registration card or a receipt hunt, and there’s no clock on it.
What it covers
Everything we’re responsible for: the materials, the build, and the way it holds up under normal use. Baffle erosion, cracking, thread damage, finish failure, a mount that stops holding zero. If a Polite Society silencer fails because of a defect in our materials or our workmanship, it’s ours to make right.
We’d rather repair than replace — a silencer you already have is a silencer you don’t have to wait on. If it can’t be repaired, we replace it. And in the rare case we can’t replace it either, we refund the suggested retail price.
Who it covers
The guarantee covers the person who bought the silencer new. It doesn’t transfer. If you sell it, or lawfully transfer it to someone else, the coverage doesn’t go with it.
Your approved ATF Form 4 is how we confirm you’re the original purchaser — which is why we ask for a copy when you make a claim. No receipt to find, no registration card to mail in, nothing else to dig up.
This warranty is valid only in the United States.
What it doesn’t cover
A short list, and we’ll be straight about it:
- A baffle strike. If a bullet hits the inside of the silencer, that’s an alignment or ammunition problem upstream of us. Call anyway — we will examine it and tell you what we find, and we’ll quote a repair rather than walk away.
- Accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect. Including corrosion from being stored wet or left uncleaned over a long period.
- Improper use. Ammunition the silencer isn’t rated for, a host firearm it isn’t suited to, or handling and shooting practices outside safe and accepted use.
- Modification or unauthorized service. Anyone other than us, or a party we designate, opening, machining, re-threading, refinishing, adjusting, repairing, or altering the silencer.
- Cosmetic wear. Heat marks a silencer. Discoloration, and eventual dulling or thinning of the Cerakote on a heavy-duty model, is normal service wear rather than a defect. If the finish is failing in a way that looks wrong to you, call us — we’d rather look at it than guess.
- Loss or theft. We can’t replace a registered item that’s gone. Report it to ATF and to law enforcement.
- Anything beyond the silencer itself. We cover the silencer. We don’t cover other property, other costs, or time lost.
How to make a claim

We’ll work out whether it’s a repair, a replacement, or a refund before anything ships, so you’re not guessing. Do not ship a silencer to us before contacting us and receiving return authorization.
What you’ll need: the silencer, a copy of your approved ATF Form 4, and photo identification.
A note on paperwork
A silencer is a registered NFA item. Returning one for service or receiving a replacement follows federal procedure.
Do not ship a silencer until you have received return authorization from us. Include a complete, legible copy of your approved ATF Form 4 — or Form 5 if applicable — with the silencer.
If we replace the silencer, the replacement will have a new serial number and must be transferred to a dealer of your choosing on a new ATF Form 4. Since January 1, 2026 the $200 federal transfer tax no longer applies to suppressors.
If a silencer cannot be repaired, it will be destroyed in accordance with ATF guidelines. You will receive written confirmation of destruction and instructions for the replacement transfer.
Limited Warranty Terms
Who is covered. This warranty extends only to the original retail purchaser of the silencer. It is not transferable and does not extend to any subsequent owner, whether the silencer is transferred by sale, gift, or otherwise.
What is covered. Polite Society Industries, LLC warrants each silencer it manufactures against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
How long it lasts. For the lifetime of the product, while owned by the original retail purchaser.
Where it is valid. This warranty is valid only in the United States of America.
What we will do. If a covered defect appears, we will repair the silencer at no charge for parts or labor. If repair is not practicable, we will replace it. If replacement is not practicable, we will refund the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of the product in effect at the time of purchase. Repair, replacement, or refund is your exclusive remedy under this warranty.
Service and authority. All service covered by this warranty will be performed only by Polite Society Industries, LLC or by a third party designated by Polite Society Industries, LLC. No individual or entity other than Polite Society Industries, LLC has the right or authority to alter the obligations, limitations, disclaimers, or exclusions under this warranty.
Shipping. You are responsible for shipping the product to us. We pay return shipping within the United States.
What is not covered. The exclusions stated under “What it doesn’t cover” above are part of this warranty and are incorporated here by reference. Cosmetic wear, including finish discoloration from heat, is not a defect.

Limitation of liability. POLITE SOCIETY INDUSTRIES, LLC’S LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO REPAIRING, REPLACING, OR REFUNDING THE NONPERFORMING OR DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AS PROVIDED ABOVE.
Limitation on implied warranties. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY.
Exclusion of consequential damages. POLITE SOCIETY INDUSTRIES, LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT.
State law. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
A note on federal law. A silencer is a firearm registered under the National Firearms Act. Repair, replacement, and transfer are subject to federal procedure and to the availability of a licensed dealer to receive a replacement. This warranty does not alter those requirements.
